This review is to sing the praises of the Mulita which you can find here at the El Don Taco Truck. Mulitas are essentially mini quesadillas with cheese, choice of meat and sliced avocado between two corn tortillas. I discovered Mulita's years ago but don't find them too often around here.
El Don offers them and does them well. I would recommend either the carnitas or pastor when choosing your meat. Ask for extra Zanahorias en Escabeche (Spicy Pickled Carrots) and you will be set. -

El Don Taco Truck is the boyband of food trucks in the area. They're open from 11am to 8pm or when they run out of food....and no matter what time of the day there always seems to be a bunch of people standing around the place like it's fans outside a concert....
They're parked in from of the Valero Gas station off of Bells Ferry Road and Eagle Drive-across from the Exxon Station and Wal-Mart. On the weekends the gas station can have 2-3 food trucks parked there along with a boiled peanut truck and people selling power tools! It's definitely worth stopping to check things out for sure....
The star of the show are their tacos. Handmade tortilla jammed packed with generous portion of meat, shrimp or fish topped with fresh onions, cilantro and served with homemade sauce.
I've had their fish and shrimp tacos and they're served with this white sauce that is just out of this world. The shrimp they give you are the big chunky one and they give you tons....they're served with a side of pickled vegetables, a slice of lime and a bunch of fresh jalapenos.
Once you try them out you will see why people are willing to drive an hour just for their tacos....not to be missed!
FYI they only take cash!

When I first moved here, two years ago, this was my favorite place to stop at. In fact, it was me, my boyfriends, and brothers favorite place. These last couple months, something has changed. The food isn't as flavorful as before, and the meat isn't being prepared very well. Flavors are missing in the barbacoa, el pastor, and the chicken. And they're full of fat and bone/cartilage. We'd always get burritos, tacos, quesadillas, and now I can't even stomach to go. I'm not sure if this is only at the truck? Maybe their in-house restaurant down the street is bet

This little taco truck was awesome. I ordered steak, shrimp, and fish tacos... all three delish! The white sauce on the fish tacos was really good. Also ordered chips and salsa... by far the best salsa I've ever had. Was not like any salsa I've ever had before. The consistency was thin, souplike... but The best flavor I have ever had any salsa. It also had diced onions tomatoes and cilantro in it very very good. Will definitely go back. Was worth a 25 minute drive.

Some of the best tacos I've eaten in a long time. Many taco places
Give you large tortillas with very little meat, but Don Taco Truck does it the other way around just like in Mexico City! I am also a huge fan of curtidos of the style that pupuserías do it, and all the plates here come with a onion and carrot curtido. The only downside is that they don't take credit card. My favorite things to get are the muitas and tacos de barbacoa with the red salsa.
